アメリカで、ある女性が「オバマなんて信用しない。アラブ（のテロリスト）でしょう」と語ったとき、当時の大統領候補であったマケインは「いいえ、奥さん、彼は立派な家庭人、国民です。たまたま意見の相違があるだけです」とたしなめたそうです。案の定、集会に参加していた共和党支持者からはブーイングが起こったと伝えられていますが、日本における脱原発論も似たようなところがあるように思います。マトモなことを言った人は御用学者だの原発推進勢力だのレッテルを貼られて「脱原発／反原発」のサークルからは敵視される（あるいは反原発デモを取り上げる報道が小さいというだけで原発推進派と呼ばれたり等々、それはレイシストが自分たちに同調しない人を「反日」と呼ぶのと同様です）、こうしてカルト的な性格を日に日に強めていったのが昨今の脱原発運動と言えるでしょう。
