人間は必ず嘘をつく。どんな人格者であってもだ。 「自分をよく見せるための虚栄の嘘」 「人を陥れるための嘘」 「人を傷つけぬための気遣いの嘘」 「自分を騙す自己欺瞞の嘘」 「自己保身の嘘」には、その下に、 「嘘という自覚のある嘘」と、 「嘘の自覚なき嘘」というのががある。

人間不信になりそうだが、そうなりたくなければ、 人を信じようとしてはいけない。 むしろ人を理解しようとすべきだ。
